Counseling and Psychological Services

Due to the nature of counseling and safety of our staff and students during these COVID-19 times, we will be offering our same quality services virtually until the university has entered Phase Green under the Covid-19 Response Plan.  For more information and to check current phase, please visit the Covid-19 Response Page.

Anyone with a email address is eligible for a free self-help account through Therapy Assistance Online (TAO). TAO is a suite of online evidenced-based behavioral health tools to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and more. You’ll also find an extensive mindfulness library to help manage your stress and feel more grounded in the moment. TAO may be accessed from your computer or your mobile phone (search “TAO Mobile” on the app store). You may learn more about TAO and how to create your account here.

Health Promotion

University Recreation

Under the guidance of the University Physical Distancing Framework, the Weinstein Center for Recreation is making plans to re-open on Monday, August 10 with physical distancing and limited capacity for students, faculty and staff only. Until further notice, employee families, retirees and retiree families, 5th Year recent graduates and guests will not have access to the Weinstein Center. For full UR COVID-19 policies please visit:

 Although we know you are disappointed with the delay in Weinstein Center for Recreation access for your family members, the University is doing their best to make decisions that keep the campus community as safe as possible during this difficult time.
