Third Floor: Counseling and Psychological Services
The third floor provides a discrete, disconnected area including Counseling and Psychological Services, and The Center for Awareness, Response & Education. This quiet, smaller area conveniently located in close proximity to the first floor amenities and and second floor Student Health Center encourage integration and coordination of care for all forms of health and well-being.

Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS): CAPS offers a wide range of mental health services to currently enrolled, full-time, degree-seeking students, (as well as full-time undergraduate visiting students living on-campus; e.g., exchange students) at the University of Richmond. Center for Awareness, Response & Education (C.A.R.E.): C.A.R.E. provides programs and violence education along with confidential support, empathy, advocacy, and a safer space for those impacted by interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, intimate partner/dating/domestic violence, stalking and hate ad bias-motivated violence. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a wide range of of short-term services to currently enrolled, full-time, degree-seeking students, (as well as full-time undergraduate visiting students living on-campus; e.g., exchange students) at the University of Richmond. About 40 percent of all undergraduates use CAPS services at least once during their four years at the university. In the past 10 years we have seen a significant increase in the number of students visiting CAPS, 13 percent to as much as 21 percent.
Users of CAPS services continue to rate CAPS very highly. Nearly 99 percent of CAPS clients surveyed said they would use CAPS again if needed; 96.4 percent said they would recommend CAPS to a friend, if needed; 88 percent said counseling helped them function better; 62.7 percent said counseling helped them do better academically; 57.8 percent reported that counseling helped them stay in school. Lastly, 31 percent of CAPS clients said that without CAPS, they would not have finished the current semester. The CAPS center includes a welcome center lobby and thirteen offices for all full-time and part-time psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors.

Space has been allocated for CARE Advocates, including staff from local non-profit Safe Harbor, to offer confidental advocacy services.
