    Kelly Harris was promoted to the Director of Budgets & Finance for Student Development in February of 2024, and has been with the University of Richmond since 2000. She works closely with the Student Development Division and program directors and managers. Kelly is responsible for managing resources, projects, divisional contract management, and budgets to meet annual goals. She supports all aspects of financial planning, budget management, and business operations, including technology projects.

    Kelly joined Campus Recreation in 2000 as the Assistant Director-Fitness and Instructional Programs and has held various roles within Recreation and Wellness and the Health & Well-being Unit including overseeing facilities & operations, marketing & communication, employment, and business operations before transitioning to the Student Development Leadership Team in 2024.

    Prior to coming to University of Richmond, Kelly worked in professional baseball as the Ticket Operations Manager for the Richmond Braves (previous AAA affiliate of the Atlanta Braves). She also coached middle and high school softball and basketball in the Richmond and Williamsburg areas. 
     
    Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the College of William & Mary, where she also earned her teaching certification in Physical Education & Health K-12. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Sport Management at University of Richmond in 1997.

    Kelly enjoys spending time at the beach, playing golf, and watching sporting events.
